We are proud to announce and congratulate the four artists that we had recommended and submitted to the Sovereign Asian Art Fund Competition 2007 have been selected for the Top 30 Shortlist.

Chen Li, Wake Up Oil on Canvas 100 x 90 cm, 2005 Estimates: US$10,000 - $12,000

Su Jia Shou, Tang Oil on Board 156 x 112 cm, 2006 Estimates: US$1,100 - $1,300

Chen Li and Su Jia Shou were also selected as the Top 30 Shortlist for the Louis Vuitton prize that will be held in conjunction with the 2007 Sovereign Asian Art Prize.

Zhao Fang, Fist Power Series No. 9B Oil on Cotton Print 100 x 135 cm, 2006 Estimates: US$11,500 - $13,000

Zhou Jin Hua, After the Storm Oil on Canvas 145 x 110 cm, 2006 Estimates: US$10,000 - $12,000

Established in 2003, The Sovereign Asian Art Foundation Ltd is a registered charity in Hong Kong whose goal is to promote awareness and offer support towards the development of Asian art and artists.

The Sovereign Asian Art Fund will be housing an exhibition of these works along with the other 26 finalists in the Landmark Atrium from 4 September until 15 September 2007. Please do go and view the artworks as you will have a chance to vote for your favourite painting. Their public vote prize, the Schoeni Prize, will be awarded to the work that gains the most votes and the artist will be awarded a cash prize of US$1,000. The remaining 29 contestants' works will be available for auction during a dinner gala on the 21^st of September 2007.
