Wong Yi Dong
"Drawings & Sketches"

To celebrate our 10th anniversary of representation, Schoeni Art Gallery is proud to present a fine collection of drawings and sketches by the neo-realist master Wang Yi Dong.

Wang Yi Dong was born in 1955 in Yimen Mountain area of Shandong and is a professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing. Wang Yi Dong has gained an international reputation over the last 10 years and his works are now in important collections all over the world. Wang Yi Dong is today the most important neo-realist and this has been recognized being invited to a museum exhibition in Germany in May 2005, his 50th birthday. This is a first for a Chinese artist to hold a one-man show in an European Museum.
