Schoeni Art Gallery is proud to present the works of two talented artists from Vietnam, Do Duy Tuan and Thanh Van. We will be exhibiting more than fifteen pieces by each artist. The exhibition opening will start on 28th October 2004 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.
Do Duy Tuan was born in Thao Thien Huea, Vietnam, and graduated from Huea Fine Arts College, which is a member of the Hoi Chi Minh City Fine Art Association. In 2000
he held a solo exhibition in Singapore and received the Art National Award for three consecutive years in 1999-2001, as well as the Vietnam Fine Arts Awards in 2001. He also works in Fine Arts Museum of Hoi Chi Minh City and Fine Arts Museum of Hanoi.
Do Duy Tuan is one of the most talented and deep thinking artists in Vietnam. He paints mostly woman, and uses mixed media as his material.
Thanh Van was born in Hanoi, Vietnam in 1970 and graduated from the Hanoi Fine Arts College in l994. He has participated in various exhibitions in Vietnam and overseas.
He held a solo exhibition in Vietnam in 2001 and in Singapore in 2002.
Thanh Van is currently one of Vietnam's premier impressionists, with a vibrant and hypnotic style, his paintings depict Hanoi's landscapes and people. He uses strong brush strokes, and ever changing colors to create his brilliant lighting. He takes us to a happy world that is full of color and romance.
