"Rotational Summer Exhibition"

Schoeni Art Gallery presents a diverse exhibition of Chinese paintings and antique furniture in collaboration with its sister company "Wai Yin & Dave" for this summer's Rotational Summer Exhibition. It will be held at the main branch on Old Bailey Street 13 July - 6 September 2006.

One highlight of this exhibition are the paintings, which will be on rotated curation and will range from works spanning Neo-Realism to Avant Garde by Chinese artists such as Li Gui Jun, Xia Xing, Chen Yu, Hu Xiang Dong, Li Ji, Qi Zhi Long, Zhang Lin Hai and more. We are also honoured to be presenting for the first time selection of works by our latest exclusive artist, Zhao Fang, whose first solo exhibition will be held in September this year. His collection of diptychs demonstrates his anti-violence sentiments in an incredible ensemble of skill with the paintbrush toyed with metaphor and witticism.

Another highlight of this exhibition is the viewing of furniture piece by Schoeni Art Gallery's sister company, Wai Yin & Dave, which has enjoyed a leading position in the field of Chinese Antique furniture for over 15 years. As a compliment to the paintings, they shall have on display at the gallery a fine selection of antique furniture ranging from the 17^th to 19^th Century, as well as their custom-made furniture, which is assembled from solid old wood and inspired by Eastern and Western elements.

The intention of this exhibition is to give the gallery's visitors an opportunity to observe the diversity of Chinese oil paintings in a vibrant spectrum of styles, whilst also appreciating the art of Chinese antique furniture.
