1979 Studied painting under the guidance Jin Shanvi who latter became president of the Central Academy.

1984 Entered the oil painting department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing.

1985 Painting Dove received third prize from the, Art Exhibition to Celebrate the Year of the Youth, China Art Gallery, Beijing.

1988 Graduate work Border was collected by The Gallery of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and essay Chanting at the Border was published in Beijing Youth and the Contemporary Chinese Life Painting, Huayi Publishing House.

1989 Painting Lake exhibited in The Best of Chinese Oil Painting in Tokyo, Japan.

1990 Paintings Day Bed, Windy Season, Growing Up, Holiday Without Rain, Falling Down, and Portrait of Wang Yang acquired by Japanese collectors.

1991 Completed course in advance oil painting technique courses under the guidance of French realist painter Claude Ewell.

1992 Painting September and Nude collected by the Ford Foundation; painting Your Fortune in the Year of Goat participated in Great Wall Art Festival. Beijing; painting Little Fenxian and Summer Skin Tonic participated in Famous Names in Chinese Oil Paintings, Cosmic Building Gallery, Singapore.

1993 Painting Your Fortune in the Year of Goat participated in the Inaugural Exhibition. Schoeni Art Gallery. Hong Kong; painting Eternal Desire participated in Art Asia ‘93.
